An early alignment of the Yellowstone Highway, now a rancher’s “two-track,” is visible to the left of the newer Little Bear Road, Albany County Road 123, south of Chugwater.

“Yellowstone Hwy” is stenciled in the curbing on Yellowstone Road in Cheyenne. This was also the route of old U.S. Highway 85 & 87.

The Yellowstone Highway entered Cheyenne via the Central Avenue viaduct over the Union Pacific railroad tracks.
