This postcard shows several “auto trails” converging on Cody and the east entrance to Yellowstone National Park.

Bridger Trail Cafe in Burlington. The Bridger Trail  connected the Oregon-California Trail west of Casper with the 1860s goldfields in southwestern Montana.

South of Basin. 

The Yellowstone Highway of 1915 turned west at Basin and passed through the towns of Otto and Burlington. Later the road through Greybull was improved and used by the National Park-to-Park Highway.
